WHY CYBERSECURITY MATTERS

As cyber threats continue to evolve, protecting your organization requires more than isolated technical measures. It calls for a resilient and forward-looking strategy that helps safeguard sensitive business data, reduce vulnerabilities and keep daily operations running smoothly.

ASSESS YOUR RESILIENCE

If you would like to assess the crisis resilience of your own organization or that of your customers, we recommend the Resilience Check at resilienzcheck.org. This German-language platform offers an anonymous self-assessment that takes around 15 minutes and includes 58 questions. It helps identify potential risks, provides direct feedback and offers practical recommendations to strengthen resilience.

The platform was developed by GAL Digital GmbH in cooperation with the Bundeswehr State Command Hessen, the Hessen Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

NIS2 AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

For operators of critical infrastructure (KRITIS), cybersecurity is also a regulatory requirement. The European NIS2 directive introduces comprehensive obligations designed to protect essential services and strengthen supply chains. Meeting these requirements means taking a proactive approach to risk management and maintaining continuous monitoring in order to detect and address potential vulnerabilities at an early stage.

To help clarify the interaction between manufacturers, planners, installers and end customers of security-relevant IT technology, GRUNDIG Security provides a downloadable NIS2 Compliance Guide:

STRENGTHENING YOUR NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE

A key measure for improving cybersecurity is the systematic hardening of network components. In practice, this means securely configuring devices such as firewalls and routers – for example by disabling unused ports, keeping firmware up to date and enforcing strict access controls. These measures help reduce hidden vulnerabilities, support compliance requirements and create a stronger defense against unauthorized access.

WHITEPAPER FOR THE SMART LINE

For our SMART Line, we have created a dedicated whitepaper that explains how systems can be hardened against potential attack vectors. While developed specifically for this product range, the principles described in the document can also be applied to many other IT-based systems and products:

CERTIFIED STANDARDS

As an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified company, we treat cybersecurity as a fundamental quality standard.

  • ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems
  • ISO 27001 is the leading international standard for Information Security Management Systems
